This is a bit off topic but I have a friend who insists on using the handle just above the passenger door to pull himself out of my car. I'm sure these handles aren't designed for people to put their entire weight on to are they!? He's not a small guy either!

Anyone know how these are secured to the car, in my last car they were bolted to the roof panel and I really dont think the roof is designed to be strong in that direction.

Any ideas? He thinks i'm moaning about nothing but i think if he carries on something will break or bend or is doing so already!

Tell the fat flump straight. Abide by the rules of your car or take a bike.

My passengers usually hold on to them in corners, roundabouts etc. I think it gives them a (false) sense of security.

Could put dog poo behind the handle - that will stop him after the first time!
