The Car is a 1993wrx import, Just wanted to know what controls the cooling fans ? Is it the ecu ? or is there a seperate thermoswich somewhere ?
The problem I have is they always seem to be running when I stop after a 15min journey, if I stop and restart the engine they don`t come back on until they are needed again. Could it be the ecu temp sensor giving the ecu duff info ?
Does anyone have a manual for the cooling system and how it works ?

Mine's just started doing similar things (but, as always it's an intermittant thing )

My theory is that I have had a PAS fluid leak, and the temp sensor is near the PAS pump, so has been gunged with PAS fluid. Which hasn't helped it...

I know this is a bit far fetched, but it might work.

I'll know at the weekend when I do the cambelt!

Fitted new tempreture sender and thermostat yesterday along with samco hoses and seems to have cured problem .
Car is running alot better as I also found a leak on the intercooler, and now the car does not seem to be running so rich !
