Radiator Fans

Only one of the fans on my radiator ever seems to spin no matter how hot the car gets. Are both supposed to run at the same time and if not any ideas as to what is wrong?

On my MY95 WRX both spin..! i dont think it matters too much as the other fan is for the air con...
Try turning your air con on and watching to see if both come on because they should..

not sure on this, but early ones only had 1 fan.
other was added with AirCon & would only come on underload with AC on.
later has 2 & both come on.
try connecting the test connectors under the dash - this should get them both going.
other than that - I think I read it in the manual for ->MY96 cars
try ravensblade for a manual or two...
