Question

Just curious guys... but is there much involved with fitting a Knock Link Sensor? I've heard that all you do is put the sensor onto the engine (im not sure where, but apparently theres factory mounting points) and wire it all up and away you go. Is there any level of tuning or adjustment you need to do on the actual sensor?

Any advice/photos/experience would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Gerrod

I fitted mine at the weekend, I mounted the sensor to the engine on the passenger side below the I/C, theres a bracket on the engine which I unbolted an put a longer bolt in for the sensor. I wired it up and run it at max sensitivity, no messing about with the sensor or anything, just wired it up and that's it. Only ever get to the second green at about 6k rpm+

Question

Any chance you could put some photos up? Did you have to remove the intercooler or anything? Much mucking around?

Yes I did have to take the I/C off, but its not a major thing to do, a ten minute job. I don't have any piccies myself but there are some on this thread, it's in the same place I put mine:

I moved the thread here, as all (well most of ) the other Knocklink/gauge type threads are in here.

Thought it would be a better place for it, as if anyone was searching for Knocklink info in the future, they would find all the related threads in here.
