As above explains all, ive got a forge re-circ valve and got a funny feeling its leaking.

Can anyone give there great knowledge and try to explain in (easy words) how i can find out if its leaking

get some washing up liquid and smear ir round the joints and rev the dump valve if external leak u will get bubbles..u will also get a bad idle on lift off

swap it with a mate with a known good one and see if it cures any of your problems
my standerd one was leaking so ive borrowed my mates until i can afford to buy a new one

You would probably get rough running i.e jerky e.t.c
