I've just got my beloved 4 door ukMY97 back after yet another repair to the rear of my car after a shunt on the motorway. It's had a new rear panel and bumper but i'm convinced there is trim missing from both sides.
Both front wheel arches have a plastic inner wheel arch section to protect the wheel arch from the elements. Should my rear wheel arches have the same???
I've noticed that where my rear bumper terminates on both sides forming the wheel arch there is what appears to be an empty screw hole (about half way down in the middle facing the tyre). Is this where the "missing" inner wheel arches would attach to the bumper?
Does anybody else have these holes or are they filled by a screw and attachment???
It has to go back in again anyway for more work as i am still not happy with the quality of repair. Any pictures would be appreciated... (problem is BMW adopted the repair after the "approved" repairer cocked it up therefore any missing parts from the first 2 repairs will go unnoticed).
I just want her back to original....Thanks.

Come on guys????
Just have a look under your rear wheel arches. Should there be a plastic trim thingy protecting the inner wheel arch?
Have you got a hole in your bumper near the wheel that looks like a screw should be there? if not what does the screw attach to?
please?!?

Cheers StickyMicky....I'm glad someone has had a look. So I have got something missing then. Does that explain the holes in my bumper? I assume that these splash gaurds attach to the bumper.
Much appreciated mate.

Thanx Silver_Sub.....but I dont think thats what's missing. These parts (on the thread you supplied) look more like mods than the original bits fitted on the UK car. I need to find another car parked up local so I can compare....I just thought that perhaps with 24,000 members to this site someone could have confirmed for me.....
