Leather chamois or Autoglym synthetic chamois?
The only difference I've noticed is that you have to keep the synthetic moist, while the real one has to be kept dry, or it rots.
Also my synthetic one washes out any muck better than a real one.

hi.i have a autoglym synthetic had it for 3 years.i have let mine dry out after use and still in 1 peace.but a real chamois only lasts me about 8 months then it starts falling apart holes every where been told you neen to keep the real chamois moist if you wash your car every week and its ok any longer then a week and it will start to rot ..mark
Wife made the decision for me and wrapped the real chamois and left me with the synthetic. Used it after I washed the car this afternoon, first impressions
didn't seem to take up the water as well as the real one and surface was still a little wet. Having said that 15 mins later car is dry and looking pretty good with no water spots. Still undecided.

i use the auto glym , wiper blade first , get all the big droplets off first, then the synphetic chamois , had it years , allways wet it with hot water first (dont know why , but works better than cold)then dry car with no straks at all even on glass, just stick it im me bucket once done with rest of stuff nd leave it to dry out all seams ok ?
Autoglym for me and good advice about hot first, I use warm water to rinse it in. Don't know why be works well like that for me.
I let it dry out and do wash it in the washing machine with only detergent no comfort.
