I had recently asked on a post about fitting the baileys dump valve, its all on and workingbut i have alittle worry. The dump valve came off a MY95 and i have fitted it to a MY97, bearing in mine the MY95 had higher boost preasure and a straight through stainless exuast. When the dump valve goes off its louder and seems to blow off with less acceleration and more frequently. so the the topic.
Can a dump valve blow off to much? and can this damage the turbo if its releasing to much preasure?

I've got a bailey on my '97 and you are right - it does blow off even at "steady" driving.....and is also pretty loud at higher boost. I am pretty sure that they can't blow off too much as at the end of the day they are simply releasing any "excess" turbo pressure....assuming it is correctly connected and the 95 spec will work correctly on the MY97
