Apart from Shell (Optimax) what other chains of petrol stations sell 98 Ron fuel ? My local BP station has stopped selling SUL (I know it was only 97 but at least it was better than 95 in an emergency).
Also anyone know a web site where you can search for stations selling SUL within the UK (I know about the Shell site).

ESSO sell super unleaded, 98 Ron. i use this when i cant get to a shell garage

 

Well well well.

I didn't realise ESSO SUL was 98 RON but I did notice better pick up after a few tanks in succsession. Basically I've got the choice of either TEXACO sul and ESSO sul and I realised that ESSO seemed to make the scoob run better. And now I know why!!

 

i try to use optimax, but the garage for shell aint close :/. so if im desperate for fuel i pop into esso

 

Q8 SUPER UNLEADED WORKS VERY WELL.I HAVE TRIED OPTIMAX WHEN ON HOLIDAY BUT NOT AS GOOD AS ANY SUPER UNLEADED,WITH Q8 SUPER UNLEADED THE BEST

 

ESSO SUL is now 97 RON same as every other brand. Only Optimax is higher.

 

Esso is about the best of the 97s from my 'findings' - engine makes about the same amount of 'noise' as it does running on my local's Optimax (a fairly low turnover station). I think this is the general feeling out there too...
