As a newcomer to Scoobynet I've found using the Forum search an excellent source of information for most of my questions.

I have an MY00 that has been cutting out as I approach junctions (usually only when I slow through the gears to a halt, if I just put the clutch in it rarely dies). After searching the forums I decided the fault could lie with the MAF sensor so I went out and bought one.

Where can I get hold of some allen keys that will allow me to undo the screws that hold the MAF in the air intake tube?

The cutting out could also be down to a problem with the idle control valve. I think mine has 3 10mm bolts that hold the top of it on. Are there any serviceable parts inside?

Thanks in advance...

The MAF is held on with torx bolts, you need a set of torx keys.
Halfords do then or any tool shop.

You can clean the valve out I'm told and be careful as there is an o ring inside that needs to go back

Thanks for the info. Do all torx sets have a hole in the centre? The screw heads have a solid metal pin in the centre so I was unable to use the torx tools I already have.
