Chaps,

I have searched loads of threads regarding this, but cannot satisfy myself that things will be O.K.

How many people can pass an MOT on Center cat alone?
I don't want to fit a down pipe and have to swap once a year.
I spoke to an MOT guy yesterday hoping to blag a decat mot in the future, but he said remove any cats and it will fail.

Sorry to drag this up again.

I have heard there are a few places around that can swap your centre section for a twin cat pipe that will enable the car to pass the MOT emissions with a decat downpipe. Changing the centre is a 10 min job as opposed to approx. 2 hours for the d/p.

Cost for this would likely be about £20 on top of the MOT charge, so not alot really given the benefits of the d/p

I had my old nissan 200 sx s13 cat welded into my centre section, it just passed the MOT emmissions once hot.
De-catted downpipe too!

I use a small garage in Seaford, possibly a little too far for you to travel!
They passed mine on full decat with the old Zorst lying on the ground next to the car!

Email me if you want their details

if i have to spend 2/3 hours changing my downpipe back to the oe with cat to pass mot then ill do it then change it straight back cos the difference is amazing ,a few hours every year for a mod like that is well worth it imo
