Question

Possably a dawes device but i personally would go for a full decat exhaust (and some uprated brakes!)

Cheapest possible, I think, is to alter adjustment on the wastegate screw thingy. Doesn't cost any money at all. High risk as it just ends up forcing a bit more boost which is not controlled. Never done it or even looked at that area myself, wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but free certainly counts as cheap. Doing this or fitting a dawes it's recommended to get a boost guage so you can see what it has actually done.

Get yourself a downpipe. About the safest mod you can make.

I don't like the idea of anything dangerous!

downpipe is a decat? that means a swap round every MOT I would imagine. How much is a swap round likely to cost me in labour? Also does anyone know a garage that might do this. All answers gratefully recieved.

M8 there are garage's that are sympathetic to our cause when it comes to the MOT, I'm sure someone in your area can point you in the right direction.

i bet u knew this was coming....

get a big NOS sticker and stick it on the boot, straight away 25-50bhp in the eyes of anyone who intends to race you.

It's all in the mind, my friend.....

ScoobyECU chip, costs about £60, will give 250-260bhp with full decat and filter. Raises boost to about 16psi. This is similar to a Dawes, but fuelling, ignition, fuel cut etc are altered appropriately! Check out the ad in Scooby shop.

Scooby, if you still have the centre cat you should be able to pass an MOT. Most cars can.

Cost would be about an hours labour.

Cool

Sign up with a cheap Weight watchers equivelant.

Loosing weight from you or the car will always help.

ha! already doing the weight loss thing myself....as for removing other useless weight theres not much scope for that except leaving my girlfriend at home (God I hope she doesn't read this as the scoob is half hers!!)ARF!

I'm gonna go the exhaust route- I already have a sports back box (don't know the make unfortunately)so goodbye CAT. Can I expect a MPG increase in gentle driving once I lose the CAT?

The other option is not let Moray in the car.

Having Moray in the car, is like pulling an articulated lorry.
