does anyone know why the 802 runs richer? Im concerned that Subaru mapped it that way for a reason... surely running richer cant be right just for emmisions, can it be anything to do with running/intake temps? or subarus way of increrasing a safety margin for owners who like to decat/intake mods?

I've wondered about this myself. I seem to remember hearing that it was to safeguard the engine if the MAF sensor failed.The mixture would not run dangerously leen as it was overfuelled in the first place. I would be interested if anybody else has heard this or anything different.
