defi-link control unit 2
No . dont think it is! I think u'll find you still have pwr to it somewhere!
when I turn my key to ACCESSORY, the DEFI's do their [very cool
] startup routine. then sit @ Zero.
when I stop the engine, it goes back to Zero, until I take the key out all toghether! at which point it drops down south onto it's rest.
try tracing the wiring & seeing what it's wired too.

Hi Neil,
The reason why your boost gauge needle sits at 0 when switched off
Is that the control unit requires a permanent power feed even when the ignition is off.
You’ll probably also have noticed that you will be loosing all the warning settings and replay data as well.
Make sure the RED wire has a permanent power feed to it.
The ORANGE wire should be connected to the ignition switch.
Hope this helps?
Cheers,
Rob
