Question

So my question is; from what I have read the 802 is over rich, yet emission friendy.. so if I replace it with an 801 will it be running lean and will components that were previosuly used to be used with it running rich be affected?

also; any negatives of running an 801 ?

Many thanks...
Brad.

It will be leaner than the 802, but still way to rich. No downsides. It will run perfectly.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Question

does anyone know why the 802 runs richer? Im concerned that Subaru mapped it that way for a reason... surely running richer cant be right just for emmisions, can it be anything to do with running/intake temps? or subarus way of increrasing a safety margin for owners who like to decat/intake mods?

Cheers

Hijack!

I've got an AE 801 ECU for sale if you want to give it a go.

£135 for it

AFAIK His new Scoob that he will have hopefully acquire now, has an AE802 ECU as standard, but someone placed an AE801 in a box in the boot, ready for it to be installed once he purchases the car. For a few notes, how nice.
