Boost dropping off

MY97 UK spec 102k miles
Went to a RR shoot out at interpro on Sunday and got a strange read out:


The torque line dips in the middle in line with the boost dropping from 13psi to 10 psi the back to 13 again.

Does anyone have any idea as to what would cause this?
Weak actuator?
Blocked boost solinoid?

Now then mate, did you find what the problem was ? Mines doing the same, it drops from 1bar to half a bar and then back up, its really doing my head in ! had a decat fitted before it startted to do it so i'm not sure if shes readdy for a remap ? any ideas ? if you find out let me know please.

I had a similar thing happen to me on 1 of the cossie's and ended up being a weak actuator spring. (I know it's not a Subaru but same in principal!)

Not sure if this is you guys problem but if you can lay your hands on another just to try then maybe worth a shot.

found out what it was, need a remap or a boost controller. cos of all the mods i've added, the gasses are running to high so its over boosting, then the ecu is telling the car to drop the boost down and it yo-yoing back and forth.
