Question

I wonder if anyone here can help...

looking to buy a second-hand hard top for MX5 which has some damage to the n/s rear quarter panel where it meets the bodywork.

Can anyone advise if this sort of damage is repairable? i know that the answer will depend on the level of damage which i can not say in detail.

Thanks, Jon

yes repairs can be carried out to fibreglass no matter how bad the damage is, it only means more damage, more work to repair until you get to a point where its not worth repairing! Our family business is a boatyard in Kent, and so grp or fibreglass repairs are common. If damage is cosmetic, i can guide you on how to carry out repairs, what you need etc, if its structurally damaged I may be able to repair it for you. If you can, post a pic of the damaged area.

regards,

Si.
