Is it a good idea to put an oil cooler where the standard intercooler sits for us with fmic's?

A few people have fitted an oil cooler here on their GTIR's..
The only problem i can see is that it will sit about 8-10inches above any oil route.. once the car is switched off the oil in the cooler will drain back down into the engine, when you start the car the oil must refill the pipework and cooler before reaching the engine..
Maybe a shut off switch may sort it??

Just a thought..

Oil coolers work fine on top of the engine, some (not all) of the oil will drain out of it when it is turned off, but it fills again no problems once your thermostatic valve (you are using one?) re-opens.
