just changed original i/c hoses to samcos on my my00 and it seems to have made a big difference. i know they aint supposed to give you any change in power but there is now a whoosh in gear changing ( standard dump valve), the boost has gone from 17 to 19 and it feels like i've found another 20 bhp. When i first heard the whoosh i thought maybe an hose was not on properly but with the extra boost and response im a bit confused.

I would be grateful for any comments on those who have changed theirs.

dave.

What other mods to your car?

19 PSI is a little high for a peak, and also above the fuel cut for a MY00 if it is sustained. More likely the ECU will lose the plot and start oscillating the boost wildly at some point.

Also fitted Samco Turbo kit recently to my MY00 - I too felt an increase in performance but no whoosh.

Dave take the Ram Air off. Prodrive and Subaru (and I FWIW) do not recommend it on the P1. Risk of failed MAF and blown engine.
