Hi all, I've had big problems this week.....the CEL was appearing occasionally and the car was running like a bag of S**T when it did. It wouldn't boost over 0.7-8 bar and the turbo was really shuddery. I've just figured out where the black connectors are and run the test. I got a "22 Knock sensor, (Abnormal voltage produced in knock sensor monitor circuit, Sets in regular fuel map and retards ignition timing)" and a "53" but I can't find out what it is. Can any one give me symptoms of the 22 or tell me what the 53 is.

Found out Error Code 53 is - Fuel Pump or Circuit. Any ideas what could be causing these combined errors. Is it possible these are old errors and I just need a reset. I booked in to have the diagnostics done on Monday would it be wise to reset now ???

 

Cannot really add to what you have said other than if you do a reset...

Two black connectors together and two green, ignition on, accellerator pedal to floor then back to about half throttle and hold for 3minutes.. or so, then start the engines and drive (drive gently). The check engine light will flash the okay code (onece a second roughly) or an error code.. if it is still 22 then you need a new knock sensor, or the wiring is faulty to it..

Highest in my list is 51.. the 53 might be a red herring..
