Hey All

I have a 95 UK Turbo which is now pushing 116,000 miles. The question is, do I take it to a Subaru dealer (which I have done for 3 years since 80k miles) or a specialist such as Power Engineering for the next service which is the 112,500 miler.

It's possible that I might sell the car in a years time, at which point it will have done 125,000 - my view now is that a dealer service at that age is going to add no value at all to resale.

I live in Herts - are there any other places people recommend for servicing?

Cheers
Paul

Hmm, that I don't know yet - will have to find out but given the labour rates at a Scooby main dealer I reckon it should be chaeper at somewhere like PE.

In my experience PE are actually more expensive (check out their website), however, I've also been told that the cars feel fantastic when they exit the workshops!

Personally, I wouldn't use a dealer as alot of the speicalists use "better" fluids etc. and also care about the customer/the car alot more...we had our last one at TSL, probably the next one at Scoobysport ...I think to a potential buyer as long as it's a suabru expert then they'll be happy... not sure what the dealers think of this though?

Y not try Dave at Risboro 4 Wheel Drive? I use him for mine, he's a lot cheaper than a main dealer, a trained Subaru mechanic and an enthusiast. Quite a few people on here use him. He is in Princes Risborough, half way between High Wycombe and Aylesbury, so not too far from you. 01844 274652
