Someone told me they did but I wouldn't be too sure, can anyone shed some light on the subject??

Do a search on 'LPG' - there have been loads of threads on this. Your're right though, the general feeling did seem to be that it wouldn't be great for a Scoob.

Lpg Is very popular in Norway and Holland
however I think there is some problem with accelerated
valve wear ( inlet ,exhaust )

have seen quite a few scoobs with lpg conversions fitted, in both the older single point and now, newer multi point injection systems.
They seem to go ok, as far as running on gas can go. have heard through the grapevine that Subaru are looking into LPG and a factory option may not too far away, as even the twin turb leg's are making daylight again, poss for 2005 as gen euro market car..
