Question

Just out of interest, why are the radiator fans wired up seperately? They both come on together, but the slightly larger one always stops half a second before the smaller one? Just wondering if I will ever see one of the fans running by itself?

you probably find that if you have aircon than thats why you have second fan. Normally both kick in if the ones not up to the job.

Yup, one is for the a/c and the other is for the radiator. If your a/c is off you should AFAIK never see both on at the same time.

Cool

Hmmm.....They both come on and run when the engine is hot and stationary........then one of them stops, and half a second later the other stops (you can hear the motors click off).

The car DOES have aircon, and it's a UK Legacy Turbo.
