Brakes and chip
#3
From my general reading on posts "chipping" such as a superchip is frowned upon here. It seems to just raise boost level without upping any fueling or air . This can be dangerous.
The general concensus between people here is have your car mapped to take into consideration what mods you have had done to your car. This is the safer option.
Wait till someone with knowledge comes on an explains.

Same car as me.
Can't comment on the BIG brakes, I have had a group N+ kit put on mine using the standard Subaru 4 pots. They have served me well so far but I am yet to take it to a track.
With regard to the ECU - I am driving around in my dear Mother's bug at the moment as mine is winging its way to John Banks in Scotland for the TEK2.5 map. After reading various posts regarding this upgrade it seemed the best way to go with my mods and my budget.
Use the search facility for Ecutek or TEK for more info.
