Cool

Sorry, I can't comapre it to the std WRX '02 because I bought mine in November 2002 with the PPP fitted from the dealer.

Never owned a Scooby before and I love it - maybe it's a natural thing but I'm looking to upgrade now. I like the warranty aspect of the PPP but I think its lacking a bit of grunt at about 3000 rpm, seems to be more than happy 4000 + and I think a full de-cat would help this plus I'm not sure that the PPP ECU is the best available (Ecutek seems to score a lot of points with owners on here).

But the warranty goes out the window then..... So for me its a case of how important the warranty is and weighing up the chances of engine damage which could occur and be attributed to a different exhaust system or ECU meaning Subaru UK wouldn't pay out. As other would point out if the electic windows fail that shouldn't be affected by a de-cat exhaust.

Maybe I wouldn't be satisfied with the next stage which is a replacement up and down pipe - there is always something else to do for that little bit of extra. But perhaps that part of the joy of Scooby ownership - if's, but's and maybe's, there's always another option.
