Oz MY02 Performance??
#1
Hi all.
Got a really quick question regarding the Australian MY02.
I previously owned a lightly modified (resinatorectomy, cold air duct, filter) MY98, recently traded on a MY02. Question is, has the whole characteristics of the motor changed, or is something up?
My old car used to pull really stongly from around 2800rpm to somewhere around 5500, at which stage there was no point revving any harder. The new car seems to pull ok around 3000rpm, then noticably dies until around the 4000rpm mark, when it goes ok again as long as it has nearly full throttle. Again, there's no point revving past about 5500rpm.
Is this normal?? The other day (ok, so it was 38 degrees with 4 people on board) I almost got done by a Mitsubishi Challenger 4WD.
Any comments welcome,
J
