Foam Covered Disc Thingy??

Anybody know what the disc shaped thing covered in foam situated in one of the boost pipes from the turbo to the solenoid area of engine bay is??? (Near air filter) What is it and whats it for??? I ask because I noticed that the foam has all crumbled off of mine!! Just curious

It's an oil trap / filter to stop oil getting into the solenoid.
foam is there to stop vibration.
and the foam is all manky on mine, what's left of it, after the pressure washer has benn on it

Hello Roy. Vaguely remember meeting you before, probably at the engagement party I wouldn't have a clue when he moves in as I don't really see much of him anymore!! He's a right boring bugger now always staying in
