Does anyone have any links or absolute knowledge on whether van based (on side of road mobile units) speed cameras use flashes and lines or have some more up-to-date digital video technology ???
And to what distance do they work ?

I came across one today (my birthday !!) at 50odd in a 30 (clear main road - just changed from 60), braked 250 feet away from it down to 30 and then got to lines in the middle of the road. No flash.

1st time in last year I can remember doing 50odd in a 30..!!
