On idle and light loads it should be in closed loop fuelling, which means fuelling should be swung back and forth over lambda 1. How often does your software ask the ecu? Delta Dash will nicely plot closed loop for you.

The S/W checks with the ECU every second. Based on what you said then I should expect to see the lambda figure range from 0.98-1.1 ?? I havent actually driven the car yet with the OBD2 S/W running - only on idle, I should therefore expect the figure to change when actually driving?

I have some OBD2 software which measures A/F ratio in lambda units - where 1 unit = 14.7 A/F. My MY02 is measuring 0.98 lambda on idle - is this normal?

Thanks in advance.
