Question

I've been having a little problem with lots of water collecting round by my spare wheel for the last month and I just think I've got some kind of leek somewhere. However, while I was sponging out large amounts of water today I noticed a plastic gromet sealing a hole in the boot. What is it there for??? or is it a drain plug for all this water I am collecting??

Does anybody know??

Cheers

Cool

Stu,

Yeah u got it in 1, it`s a drain plug.
Do u r self a favour & instead of sponging it up take the plug out, let it drain, then put the plug back BTW could be the seal on one of your rear light clusters is leaking.

Or have you had a new spoiler fitted recently?

I have not had a new spoiler fitted so I'm going to check out the seals on the lights. I just hope I can repair them myself as I don't fancy getting a new set of light just because one leeks!!

The seal is just a black silicon sealant! The worst bit is getting the old stuff off!!!!!

If y wanna check for leaks do the following thing ; aply some talking powder on your lights and inside the boot and then drive trough a car wash or so, you should immediately see were the water is entering your boot...
