will replacing the ECU give me immobilizer problems
I recently purchased a second hand AE802 green label ECU from this BBS with the intention of having it remapped with a Tek 2 remap. I was then going to replace the standard ECU with the remapped ecu. This would give me the option to revert the car back to standard in the future should I need to.
My question is, will I have any problems with the new ECU not recognising the chip in-planned in my keys, immobilizing the car.

assuming your car is new enough to have an immoblizer chip built into it (is the key big and chunky or really slim?) you will have to have all your ignition keys re coded to the ecu as it has to communicate directly with the key to disable the imobilzer. the people you brought it off should be able to tell you if your car needs re coding, or any subaru dealer.
