Stiff when cold - gearbox
Anybody know what makes gear selection tight when the engine is v.cold 1st thing in the morning (kept in garage).
This especially is reverse, and I need to blip the throttle to slip it in
. After that it's fine. (MY02 WRX 2,600miles)

Hence the reason to not give it serious welly until the engine is up to a reasonable operating temperature with the oil nice and runny.(p.s remember theres also no synchro on reverse),so a wee blip of gas pedal works just fine.
we are primarily a motorsport prep. company based in the north east (near the "angel of the north"!!) now becoming more involved in high performance road cars as well due to demand.........(very specialised in lubricants and brake components!!)
probably also the fact that our service and parts are not as expensive as some other "subaru specialists"
