I was just wondering what the max boost that i could run on a 1994 WRX, and what sort of bhp i would get on an otherwise standard engine...

Cheers,

John.

you dont want to push it much over 1 bar..!! not with the standard intercooler among other things..

Make sure you get an AFR meter/gauge..

I would add a Knocklink to that AFR gauge
Deffo think that 1bar is a safe bet on most WRX's, however all cars are different...
As Dan says, you really want to monitor things when you raise the boost, ie AFR readings and Detting (knocklink).
What might feel fine, might not be so fine..
The problem with Our cars (93-95 WRX) is that the std ecu maps are pretty ****..
You would not believe how badly my car was Detting with my std ECU at 1bar, i'm not saying yours will be the same but better be safe than sorry..
Have you thought about getting a remap?? take a look at www.scoobyecu.co.uk, this is a VERY cheap way of getting over the old ECU probs and getting a good bit of extra power too..
