Ok, first off it's not the scoob, its Ms. Dave-W's little Fiat Punto Sporting...HOWEVER....similar principles will apply I'm sure.
Over the last week or so with the onset of the cold wintery mornings, the little Punto has been lazy in starting....usually turns over but won't fire up but then does so on the third or so attempt. Very often it's as if the battery dies momentarily before the succesful start which wipes the memory of the clock etc. which all pointed towards a dodgy battery suffering in the cold weather.
This morning, same old story but died completely and had to bump start it, so took it to local Halfords after work to buy new battery. Helpful chap checks battery on the car and says its all good!!!!
Surely can't be a starter problem cos it wouldn't turn over at all if this was the case?!?
Is there anything obvious that I should check before sending it to the doctor
