I am in need of a replacement Thermostat for mY93 WRX and am assuming that a Subaru Dealership is the only place I am going to get one ?
If this is the case does anybody have the part number for a Thermostat that I can quote to Subaru ?
Thanks in advance Guys.

Thermostats are the same for all turbo models right through from a 1990 legacy to at least 2001, be they UK models or Jap.

just go to the scooby garage & lie that its for a UK 94 car, they will probably have one in stock, you will need to turn up in a none scooby, if they ask why say yours is off the road.

Thanks chaps for the info. muchos appreciate it
Um as for the turning up in a non-scooby um well I may just have to hitch a ride then to my nearest dealership or I will turn up in my debadged scoob and tell them its a Uk car if they ask.
Any ideas how much this part is gonna cost me and where I can find it on the engine.... ta very much like

£16 for the Stat, do not get a patent part unless you are stuck, the patent part (from various car spares) has a very small opening.
If you follow the bottom radiator hose it joins a housing, this housing is held on by 2x10mm bolts, the thermostat sits in this housing.
Once housing is removed the stat just pulls out, the stat has a rubber sealing ring on it which IMHO should be changed at the same time (for the sake of £2)
Mail me if you dont have any luck at teh dealers, may be able to help..
