boost levels?

on my MY95 when it boosts up it will hold at 12psi then drop down to 10psi thats fine but tonight and last couple of days when i floor it in 3rd 4th 5th with a little adjustment on the in car boost thing it goes to 14psi then 10 psi then 12psi then once it gets past 4500rpm it holds at 14 then starts again going up and down up and down, what do u guys think it maybe as im stuck on this

Its colder now hence you're boosting higher than normal. Let the ECU sort it out. Besides, as long as you don't go above the fuel cut (which it shouldn't), it should be safe.

i use to run cav turbo at 20psi overboost and hold at 17/18psi but i had new turbo, low comp pistons, full 3in exhaust and a custom made FMIC along with brand new engine rebuild,as my subaru only has 3.5in HKS exhaust with Jap Bullet backbox, new gearbox, new black diamond clutch i should be well safe at 12 overboost and hold at 10psi or would u say i could go higher, ive played with in car boost thing and i think i turn it up to much as when i got passed 4000rpm it cut all power to turbo etc what causes that i.e fuel or ecu limit or something else as ive never had that before on cav sorry to sound daft but its all new to me as its not a vauxhall lol
