3" or 2.5" exhaust,center and downpipe
#2
I have the scoobysport (AKA Hayward & Scott) down pipe, its 3" reducing to 2.5" towards the flange, then I got 2.5" all the way back. Also have my up-pipe de-catted.
The car is awesome like that.
My mate with same car has just gone for a full 3" system from turbo back and its REALLY good !
If I was starting again I would go for the full 3" system!
All IMHO

What turbo are you running, what exhaust system are you running, and where do you want your power band?
Basically if you have a large turbo (ie TD05 or VF series) then the 3" bore will help a little, but you will find that it helps more at the top end than the lower end of the reve range. Plus if you havea 3" bore downpipe you will need a 3" bore exhaust system to match it.

I am a little puzzled as to why my car started wrecking spark plugs and misfiring badly after doing this mod. Been told colder plugs like the WRX PFR7B's will cure it.
Surely I can't be the only one to have experienced this. Never heard of knackered plugs needing changeout after 10k miles on any other vehicle.
The misfire only manifested itself after giving her a damn good thrashing. Keen to see what happens with the new 'colder' plugs at £45 for 4!
Jeff.
