Does anyone know how much it costs to have turbo timer fitted to a MY02 WRX. I just had a quote from Torque Developments and thought they were taking the pi$$. They quoted me £125 for the timer which I thought was fine and £8.95 for the harness, but in total including the labour and VAT they have quoted £298!!!!

Maybe I am tight, but does this sound a lot?

Personally I'd do it myself its not difficult, you will only have 2 plugs to plug in with the harness and a t-piece to connect to the boost hose.....

£100+ to fit a timer, thats r@pe and pillage!

Yes, I would do it myself if it was that simple, but I read somewhere that you need to connect it in a certain way if you want you security system to arm itself.

I got quoted £145 to have mine fitted. I don't know much about cars, but even I have fitted mine. Well almost, I just need to connect the vaccum tube, but the timer is in and working. The alarm is a bit of a problem. Only certain alarms work with TT's and the only way I have found so far is to lock the door with the key. The alarm is not enabled, but at least it is locked.
