Morning

I've got mine set at 1 bar on a MY97 UK. Has been running happily at that for the last 7000 miles with no fuel cut hits.

Big difference. Boost comes in lower down the rev range, and hold steady up to the red (although I find that I change gear a lot sooner now as the boost is better lower down).

Took it to Power Station RR last week and made 238bhp, with Dawes, Decat Centre, Magnex BB and ITG Panel.

Got a decat down pipe to go on on Monday aswell

Yes it is the smaller turbo than the Pre 97 cars. I will let you know how I get on with the de-cat.

Well, just been out with the new de-cat downpipe. Love it already.

Turbo boost at lower revs, and not too much louder than before. Also get the odd pop and bang on liftoff in lower gears.

Big Grin Time!!!!!

Do it!!!!

Just driven the 60 miles into work, and never had so much fun on the Twisties before the motorway. Just need to learn how to drive it again now. Accelerated out of a T-Junction from standing as normal, and before I knew it the back end was coming round! Need to give it extra respect now, especially on these dark damp mornings. No extra noise on the motorway when cruising either.

Let me know how you get on.

The Dawes device is £50 but can be setup correctly as part of the price. We were warned that you must monitor fuel/air ratio and boost pressure whilst increasing and setting higher boost or you risk damaging the engine.

Apparently once set up right it makes a hell of a difference.

You're quite right, it can make a hell of a difference if set up correctly.

Not aware of anyone selling and installing for £50 though ~ thats just the cost of the unit.

Also strongly recommend and AFR, boost gauge (essential) and a knock-link. It may add a bit to the price but its a hell of a lot cheaper than a re-build.

hope this helps,
simon
