Live feed for Snooper
#1
Can any one tell me the easiest point at which to pick up a switched live feed for a radar detector to be fitted on top of the dash without having to cut or drill any holes, I thought maybe taking a feed from the clock - it is a MY02 STI

You could take the feed from the clock and it is swichable via ignition but I took the feed from the driver map light on my MY02, much easier, has a nice switch already in circuit and the detector sits between top of screen and the top of the interior mirror !
Only downside is that is does not go off with ignition, but it does not boter me as I tend to notice it more being higher up. It also better hidden from outside of the car as well !

Glad to be of some assistance, It was a fellow scoobynet memeber PCB who gave me the idea to take the power for my detector from the driver map light, and it does fit neater between the roof and the interior mirror.
