I'm suspecting it's in with the gearbox, had a look under the car today and I can only see the front diff, gearbox casing and obviously the rear diff.
Reason I'm wondering is that it's well known that the rear diff oil should be changed at certain intervals but there's no mention of the centre. Does it share oil with the gearbox?
Mine is a UK car so it has an open front diff which presumably needs no oil changes?

It must have a centre diff to transfer power between front and rear. AFAIK it's a LSD, probably similar type to the rear (plate diff?).
It's not a P1, just a UK turbo.

A uk car uses a viscous coupling centre diff, it is the rear part of the gearbox (where the propshaft slides into a steel tube, from here to the first split in the casing)) it does share the oil with the gearbox.
