Question

i have a new for 1994 legacy estate 2.2 which last week got new dot5.1 fluid and about a month ago had new ebc green front pads these are fully bedded in and the improvement of all this on what was before is quite scary!
however the brakes still have an area of vaugeness at the top of the pedal and whilst the bite is strong -once past the initial softness- there comes a point where this trails off irrespective of brake pedal force. any suggestions?
i personaly think the lack of bite could be down to having different pad compounds front to back. any sugestions?

not yet on the grounds that two seperate motor engineers one of who used to work for audi motor sport have said that the difference/benefit would be too small to notice on a road car with standard calipers[sp?] but i am open to suggestions.

try a little re bleed of the system, ie not full drain, may still have a few little bubbles in there?

Try getting some braided hoses - you will DEFINATELY feel the difference, especially on an older car with the orginal rubber hoses.
