Question

This afternoon whilst driving from Grasmere to Keswick in driving rain on a road more like a river the check engine light came on for a mile or so (going up Dunmail Raise - for those who dont know the road not easy to find a place to stop and it was lashing down). It then went out and did not come back in 100 miles (or so) of return journey home. The car ran fine and nothing I could see.
So was it all the water or do I need to see a Subaru mechanic soon ?

Run it into the local dealer and get them to read the error code(s) from the ecu.....

Good luck

You can check the codes yourself quite easily before spending money at a dealer.

may help you to do this.
