I have been told that a bigger top mount IC may be increases the inlet temp when you are in traffic and is worse in all other cases except in high load conditions.
Allthough I have read in previous topic that Mark Aigin has had good results with an MRT TMIC while Stephen Done did a related search before some months.
I am also curius what other people experienced about and if Mark, Stephen or anybody else read this post please answer as I am going to fit a new one soon!

Whilst the MRT TMIC is a very worthy replacement (and I can't see it suffering from heatsoak any more than a standard one would) for the money, why not get a FMIC?

fmic is the way to go the top mount is a compromise imprezas have to use because the rally cars dont need air con etc so the reverse the inlet manifold and use fmic but for the road they plop it on top all other big power cars use fmic as far more efficent..i was getting red light on knocklink with just an exhaust and filter and tmic..fmic and not even a green light

NINJA-are you sure the wire hasn't come off the sensor???
you should get something lighting up!!!
to say you aren't getting a green light at all means your engine is making no noise at all!!!
