Please help - reset ECU on STI7 procedure?
#1
Hello everybody,
I need to reset the ECU of an STI7 to make the check engine light disappear after fitting a downpipe to it.
For that I need to reset the ECU.
I tried to do it with the MRT-instructions, but there are just 2 green connectors (female and male) and 1 white connector and 1 black connector. The white and black connector dont fit together.
There isn't a black connector....
Please help on how to reset the ECU?
Thanks
ric
PS Havent got the time to unplug the battery, as it is a customers car.....

You need a select monitor. Go to a dealer, they should not charge.
Well mine does not anyway. Only a couple of minutes to do as well.

I thought the plugs thing was only for Cars up to MY00 ????
If you have fitted a De Cat Downpipe you will need a CEL thingy to fool the ECU or the light will keep coming back on.
Some others on here have had problems with STi7's and decat downpipes
