Does anyone know what sort of paint could/should be used for painting the inlet manifold?
Cheers.

Paint that can withstand high temperatures. Your local automotive store should have.

But higher than the usual 'high temperature' stuff - that's usually 500C, you'll need more like 900C. Demon Tweeks, etc. do that sort of stuff too.

900 degrees celsius at the INLET manifold? Err...I think not.
I'd say if the paint can take 100 degrees or so it'll be fine.

Halfords red brake caliper paint? or get it polished profesionally.
They can be quite spectacular when polished properly.

If the Sti stuff is so good, why does it flake off?
Demon Tweaks do 'VHT' paints.
I would go for the 'polished' version if (when) I do my rebuild

Popped into Halfords and they stock a range of paint that withstands up to 150c, so I guess that should be ok.
The coating on mine has flaked off around were they join the heads, but my manifold has been off a few times so that probably hasn't helped matters.
