cleaning the MAF?

Whats the best way to clean the MAF? Understand they're pretty tempremental on the scoobs. White spirit ok? contact cleaner? Any do's and don't when cleaning it?

where is the MAF sensor?

Open the airbox and remove the filter. Start the car and give it about 3000 rpm. Spray a couple of 2 second bursts of brake cleaner ~ which you can buy from most motor spares places ~ in to the air box. This should clean it up nicely. Don't over-do it though
