Thumbs up

Haven't got it - yet. But did have a ride in the Power Engineering de-catted and EcuTek'd car. Can't comment about fitting time, but I can confirm it was certainly good. 283bhp with only a sports cat system, de-cat up-pipe and K&N panel filter. Was on hard boost by about 2700rpm, and stayed there past 7k. Felt - from the passengers seat - to be very close to a standard P1 for ultimate performance, very driveable, very eager. That ride (and Greenlight saying only 5% extra on my premium for that and a full de-cat) convinced me I'll get one.

Sorry Guys, I guess you are talking of an ECU upgrade (by tek ? ). Why is this so more powerful that the PPP'd scooby ? And pressumibly if you go for it, then the warrenty is down the pan ?

I know there are a couple of different bits in there, but still.. it's about 45 bhp more than the ppp

Cheers

Yes warrenty is down the pan but PPP is pants for power because they are very conservative on raising power(although ive seen cars with 270 horses come out from there) because of warrenty issues and it costs £1600!!!! Power Engineering have been developing this unit fo new shape for ages and have extracted the most power you can get out of a new age imprezza.Plus the programing is done thru the service port and not inside the ECU, so if your lucky Subaru wont detect it.

The ECUTek 3 map for the MY01+ will custom tune your car so in essence will be far more driveable AND ultimately more powerful than a standard PPP. This software is being released by Ecutek and PE next month so the proof will be in the pudding.

ANyone worried about warranties neednt be - reason is that the ECUTek 3 is a map of your existing ECU and is undectectable by the delta-dash. For the grand sum of 600 quid there is no comparison to the over-priced and over-rated PPP.
