sorry, not got a digital camera.

Its seen about 3months use on my car, so is virtually new (just some light surface rust on the silencer itself). Single exit stainless steel tailpipe - similar diameter to a scoobysport box, but monogrammed with "STI". Magazine pics of a P1 will give you an idea what it looks like.

If you're interested, I want £40 plus P&P (which would be £10 - £20). Drop me a mail to profile above.

Edited to add this ref which has some comments on the Sti box

Question

Does such a thing exist? Iwant one that will "burble" but be no louder than the standard, or just a little louder. But with a single pipe.

a standard box off a STIV or P1 is what you are after - just slightly noisier than standard and a much nicer looking single tail pipe. I have a spare one in the garage...let me know if you are struggling to find one.

Cheers

Remus. I have just mounted a Remus BB on my MY99, my whife has not found out yet. She hate noice cars.
Inside no additional noice, but outside a nice deep tone, Remus is the choise if you do not want noice.
Fit was a 20 min job everything was perfect

Lars: I agree.

I had a Scoobysport BB + decat centre section which was loud. This got REALLY loud with Scoobysport DP.

Installed a Remus, and can definitely say this backbox adds burble without being intrusive.

Looks OK with twin large pipes.

As I'm having a SS DP fitted next week (), should I expect a huge increase in noise ?

Surely a pipe is just pipe, irrespective of how restrictive it is ?
Or does the cat go some way to keeping it quiet ?

I would agree that the STi exhaust sounds like what you are after..

I have one on my wagon.. off a P1..

Slight louder but not intrusive in the cabin.. looks nice and it louder and deeper outside just slightly over standard.
