Hi please help
can anyone tell me what the sensor is at the bottom of the down pipe on a 94 wrx, and can it be disconnected safely.

Its an exhaust gas temp probe. Can be removed if you have no cats (basically there to check a cat hasn't failed if i remember correctly). It plugs in to the loom one the left hand side by the airbox, and can be unplugged.
